1. Working process of aluminum extrusion press

1. Check whether the oil pressure system leaks oil and whether the air pressure is normal.

2. Check whether the conveyor belt, cooling bed, and storage table are damaged or scratched.

3. The length of the aluminum profile should be confirmed before stretching. At the predetermined stretch rate, that is, the moving position of the main chuck, usually the stretch rate of 6063T5 is 0.5%-1%, and the stretch rate of 6061T6 is 0.8%-1.5%.

4. Confirm the clamping method according to the shape of the aluminum profile. The large-section hollow profile can be inserted into the tensile pad, but try to ensure enough clamping area.

5. When the aluminum profile is cooled to below 50 degrees, the profile can be stretched.

6. When the profile is bent and twisted at the same time, it should be corrected and twisted first and then stretched.

7. Pull test on the first and second heels to confirm whether the predetermined stretch rate and clamping method are suitable. Visually bend, twist, check the plane clearance, flaring, and paralleling of the profiles. If it is not suitable, adjust the stretch rate appropriately.

8. When the normal stretch rate still cannot eliminate the bending, twisting, or the geometric size is not qualified, the operator should be notified to stop the extrusion.

9. The profiles on the cooling table can not rub against each other, collide, overlap and stack to prevent scratching.


2. Precautions for aluminum extrusion die

1. At present, many industries have adopted aluminum profiles instead. original material. Due to the special profile of some profiles, the design and manufacture of the mold are difficult due to the special profile section. If the conventional extrusion method is still used, it is often difficult to achieve the rated output of the mold, and special processes must be used to strictly control various production process parameters to carry out normal production.


2. Select a suitable extruder for production. Before extrusion production, the size of the profile section is determined according to the complexity of the profile section, the wall thickness and the extrusion coefficient to determine the tonnage of the extruder.


3. Reasonably select the ingot and heating temperature, homogenize the ingot, and strictly control the alloy composition of the extruded ingot. The enterprise requires the ingot grain size to reach the first-class standard to enhance plasticity and reduce anisotropy. When there is gas, holes, loose tissue or central cracks in the ingot, the sudden release of gas during the extrusion process is similar to "shooting", which makes the local working belt of the mold suddenly de-load and load, forming a local huge impact load, which affects the mold. great influence.


4. To optimize the extrusion process to prolong the life of the die, reasonable measures must be taken in extrusion production to ensure the structure and properties of the die, and appropriate extrusion speed must be adopted. In the extrusion process, the extrusion speed should generally be controlled below 25mm/s. When the extrusion speed is too fast, it will cause the metal flow to be difficult to be uniform, resulting in accelerated wear of the working belt of the mold. Reasonable selection of extrusion temperature, extrusion temperature is It is determined by the heating temperature of the mold, the temperature of the ingot cylinder and the temperature of the aluminum rod. If the temperature of the aluminum rod is too low, it is easy to cause the extrusion force to increase or to cause car stuffiness, and the mold is prone to local micro elastic deformation or cracks in the stress-concentrated part, which leads to the early scrapping of the mold. If the temperature of the aluminum rod is too high, the metal structure will soften, which will make it adhere to the surface of the mold working belt or even block the mold (in severe cases, the mold will collapse under high pressure). The reasonable heating temperature of the ingot is 430-480°C.
